Welcome to The Harbour Quarters Inn- an original 1920’s property overlooking Bonavista’s Harbour and completely restored in 2004 as a Genuine Heritage Inn.  We are delighted that you have chosen our Inn as a possibility for your sleeping quarters during your stay in beautiful, historic Bonavista.

Bonavista is located on the Discovery Trail and was the site of Explorer, John Cabot’s 1497 discovery of “The New Found Land”.  We are rich with history that comes alive when you roam the streets of our picturesque, not-so-little town and we invite you to discover what makes our people so unique.  Our community offers spectacular scenery, rugged coastlines, icebergs, whales and puffins (in-season) and the best sunsets seen anywhere in the world.

The Harbour Quarters Inn is located in the heart of Bonavista and is within walking distance of several historic sites.  Just a few steps away you’ll find The Ryan Premises National Historic Site of Canada and across our working harbour lies The Matthew Legacy Building and Interpretation Centre, which holds a replica of John Cabot’s Ship, “The Matthew”.

If you are deciding on a more relaxing, leisurely route, we recommend you take a stroll through our downtown area and take in our colorful, historic houses and buildings, most of which have recently undergone a tremendous facelift.  Your drive through Church Street will have you slowing to a turtle’s pace, so we suggest you walk.  It’s literally minutes away and besides, what better way to spend your time than in the refreshing saltwater air.

We invite you to explore our web site and catch a glimpse of what our community and Inn has to offer through our slideshows and photographs. Wind down, relax, enjoy and discover a place where time is truly relative.
